TES Academy is a role-specific training and development programme designed to prepare individuals for safety-critical work from day one. It provides all the essential training, mentoring, and support required to perform effectively and safely in the role you’ve been hired for.
The programme is structured to ensure that every candidate has the knowledge, skills, and guidance needed to meet operational standards and expectations. But knowledge alone isn’t enough, active participation is essential. We ask that each person fully engages with the process, makes the most of the learning opportunities, and takes responsibility for their own development.
At TES Academy, we believe success is straightforward: Training + Engagement = Success.
Upcoming Academy Dates
TES Academy is aimed at those that are brand new to the rail industry (or returning without any active sentinel competencies). We will support you to undertake all the necessary steps to take on safety critical roles on the railway infrastructure.
Click on the boxes below to find out when our next TES Academy is running - be sure to check the dates as it is a requirement that you must attend all dates within a course to be able to undertake the role with us.
To undertake one of our Academies, you will go through the recruitment process outlined on our careers page; You will be interviewed, offered, complete paperwork, undergo a Network Rail Approved Medical and Drug and Alcohol Screening, be issued with PPE and commence the training (of which starts at home with the PTS E-Learning that you will be sent)
This will all lead to a paid role with TES in your chosen area of specialism, where you will continue to grow into your role with mentoring to ensure you are safe and competent to undertake your safety-critical role.
