At TES, we believe that training is just the beginning. True competence is built through experience, support, and the right guidance at the right time. That’s why our mentoring services are designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and confident, independent delivery on-site.

Our experienced mentors work alongside your staff to help them develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours they need to succeed. Whether they’re newly qualified or working under a provisional (P) status, we provide structured, hands-on mentoring that supports their progression through to full assessment. Every mentor is carefully selected for their technical expertise, leadership qualities, and ability to coach others in real-world rail environments.

Our Mentoring Services Include:

  • On-site mentoring for safety-critical roles

  • Support for staff with a (P) marker to gain full competence

  • Tailored development plans aligned to your operational needs

  • Logbook and evidence gathering support for assessment readiness

  • Integration with TES’s NSAR Gold-standard training programmes

  • Full training-to-assessment packages, including mentoring and evaluation

Our mentoring services are flexible and scalable. Whether you need support for a single individual or a full cohort, we’ll work with you to build a package that fits your programme, your people, and your pace. We can also align mentoring with recent training delivered by our in-house team to ensure continuity and consistency in development.
