OLEC 1 (Access Overhead Line Construction Sites) (Initial)
This competence unit applies in all circumstances where any person is required to access overhead line construction sites safely and effectively and in line with requirements. The level and extent of responsibility shall include their own safety and that of others who they accompany. The person shall be expected to refer to others for authorisation when required, be responsible for the implementation of instructions, and work within set procedures and specifications. The person’s actions shall not compromise the safety of others.
OLEC 2 (Undertake Basic Construction Activities Under Direction) (Initial / Recert)
This competence unit is designed to familiarise persons who are new to OLE Engineering and whose work may involve or interact with OLE Construction activities. The key aim is to deliver the basic training required to provide delegates with sufficient knowledge and hands-on practical skills for undertaking basic OLE construction activities safely and effectively under direction.
OLEC 3 (Construct Renew Enhance and Modify OLE in Accordance with Design Drawing & Specs) (Initial)
This competence unit is designed for persons whose work will involve the construction, renewal, enhancement and modification of OLE in accordance with design drawings and specifications.
The Key aim is to develop the person’s ability to carry out construction, renewal, enhancement, and modification of OLE in accordance with design drawings and specifications.
AP (Authorised Person) (Initial / Recert)
This module is designed to train Level B (Authorised) persons who are responsible for working under direction of the Level A (Nominated) Person to achieve isolations on AC OLE in their daily work.
This course is designed to ensure delegates are fully aware of the dangers that can arise in the course of Level B (Authorised) person’s duties.
NP (Nominated Person) (Initial / Recert)
This module is designed to train persons who are responsible for undertaking isolations on AC OLE in their daily work.
The key aims of this course are to instruct delegates on how to determine and fulfil their role and responsibilities when undertaking Level A (Nominated) person duties ensuring they are fully aware of the dangers that can arise in the course of Level A (Nominated) person’s duties.
